Mary Ann McCardell was a lifelong artist.
One of her efforts was to write and illustrate a children’s picture book the a Christmas theme. After her death in December 2015, her youngest son McDonald and his daughter Hannah assembled her illustrations into a printed book, originally published in 2019.
She was affectionately know as ‘Dah’ by her family, children, grandchildren and beyond. We believe that she would have loved to see her work in print, but she would be her self-effacing, at-times bashful self at seeing her beautiful drawings getting the proper attention they deserve.
